SailGP works to divert as much waste from landfill as possible, so absolutely no single use plastic bottles are permitted in the Race Stadium. These will be confiscated during our entry searches and recycled by our local waste management vendor.

Food and Beverage Vendors

The SailGP race stadiums showcase a range of local food and beverage vendors at each venue, with our vendors all striving to purchase their ingredients from sustainable and local sources.

Please do not leave bags or personal items unattended or anywhere they could cause concern for our security team, and all items are brought to the event at your own risk.

Security

We have a range of measures in place to keep you safe and secure. These include trained security staff and bag searches as well as other less visible measures.

Our Event Ambassadors are positioned around the entrance and grandstand areas. They’re always on the look-out for people who need assistance, so they may pop up to say hello if you look lost.

We also work closely with local police, fire services, harbour and aviation authorities and venue operators to deliver a safe and secure event.

We ask everyone arriving to remain patient, follow the instructions given by our security staff and allow plenty of time for entry checks. Don’t risk bringing items or baggage which won’t be allowed into the Race Stadium. You can find full details of prohibited items in our Event Terms & Conditions. Please check our website for further updates and information before your visit.

Unauthorized Drones (UAV’S) are not permitted at any time during the event; this includes both on land and over water. This is legally enforced.

Accessibility

At SailGP, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment for everyone. As part of this, we will endeavor to make our services, facilities and event sites as accessible as possible to ensure no one feels excluded. We ask that you respect your fellow guests by not leaving empty seats and by not obstructing views with large objects during the races.

Premier Waterfront Grandstand guests have a dedicated stand, with seats being first come, first served and unallocated.

Team Base Tour

Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled tour time, and make sure you wear closed heel and toe footwear, as you will be entering a work site so no thongs or similar shoes are permitted. Your ticket is only valid for the date and experience you purchased – if the scheduled tour time is missed, we cannot guarantee access to a different tour and refunds will not be granted.

Age Restrictions:

We advise on the following with regards to the ages of people attending a Team Base Tour:

- Children under the age of 16 years old are permitted to attend a Team Base Tour provided that a parent or guardian attends with them. A minimum ratio of 1 adult to 2 children will apply to children under 16 years old but over 5 years old.

- Children under the age of 5 years old are permitted to attend a Team Base Tour, however given there is an increased risk, there is an additional supervision requirement. A minimum ratio of 1 adult to 1 child will apply to children under the age of 5 years old. Please note that you will need to select a free children’s ticket, which can be selected at point of purchase.

- If children under 16 years old attend a Team Base Tour, a parent or guardian must sign a waiver to permit their attendance.

The Tech Site has a lot of loud noise from vehicles/ operations and the smell of chemicals may be disturbing for younger children so we would advise partner tours/ public tours against bringing children under 8 on the Tech Base Tours.

Parents need to be aware that children with certain conditions may be affected or triggered by the light, noise and activity in the Tech Base areas.

Please be mindful of using strollers and pushchairs within the site as there is equipment around.
