Tickets can be purchased online here. Please note tickets must be purchased online in advance and can not be purchased at the venue on the day. There are two ticket types available for the Event:

Getting to the event
SailGP's Race Stadium is located on Windpromenade in Sassnitz and the Grandstands are located on Ostmole, accessible via Windpromenade.
We're an event powered by nature and with sustainability at the forefront of all actions. We encourage all our event attendees to use public transport and walk or cycle wherever possible.
Buses: Please plan your route accordingly via this bus schedule.
Trains: Please plan your route accordingly via this train schedule. The closest train station is Sassnitz. From Sassnitz train station, you can reach the city harbor by bus (e.g. line 18 or 22) or on foot (approx. 15 minutes). Long-distance connections are available via Berlin, Rostock or Hamburg to Stralsund (e.g. IC/ICE), as well as connection with the regional express RE9 or RE27 to Sassnitz or Sassnitz Hafen/Mukran.

Car: On August 22 and 23, 2026, the entrance to Sassnitz via Mukraner Straße, Werder, and the B96/Dorfstraße (Lancken intersection) will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Exit is possible at any time. Access for SailGP parking ticket holders, as well as for public transport and emergency services, is permitted via the B96.
Event Paid Parking: Spectator Parking will be located in Kistenplatz and is now on sale. A parking pass must be purchased in advance of attending the event. Spaces are extremely limited. You must print your PDF Parking Pass and display this on your vehicle dashboard.
Park & Ride: Stadt Sassnitz is placing a park and ride service from Mukran Port to the City, please see details below. Take the A20 towards Stralsund, then the B96 federal road towards Sassnitz. Please follow the road to the intersection with the Mukran entrance, where you turn right and follow the road to the designated parking spaces on Nordstraße and Südstraße in Mukran. From there, please use the shuttle buses to get to Sassnitz's city harbor. Entry into the city by vehicle is only permitted for holders of parking tickets for the organizers' inner-city parking lots. The parking fee including shuttle service is 20 euros per vehicle.
Accessibility
At SailGP, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment for everyone. As part of this, we will endeavor to make our services, facilities and event sites as accessible as possible to ensure no one feels excluded. If you'd like to see additional facilities at a SailGP event, or if you have any other personal requirements, please contact us.
Tickets for wheelchair accessible viewing and easy access viewing are available for purchase as a separate item from general access tickets, which will ensure access to a reserved viewing section. Companions attending with spectators with accessible requirements are welcome to join them in the viewing area. When selecting your Accessibility ticket you will be provided with 2 tickets.
A quiet room facility will also be available for use for all ticket types within the stadium.
Carer Access: Carers for persons with disabilities are entitled to a free ticket which is included upon selection of your AD ticket, you will see this automatically added into your basket.
General Facilities: Race Stadium facilities are accessible to all, including catering and bar outlets, the Fan Shop and toilets.
Assistance Dogs: Registered assistance dogs are permitted, including into our unreserved grandstand seating. There is no specific dog spending area in the event site, however our re-entry policy facilitates leaving and re-entering the Race Stadium (subject to bag searches upon re-entry).
Ground Information: All ground surfaces within the site are hard. Some kerbs are situated around the event space and parking areas, but ramped access will be available to all areas. Viewing areas within the grandstands for people of determination will be accessed via ramps, where our Event Ambassadors are available to provide assistance as necessary.
Team Base Tours
Tours run from 15 to 17 August. SailGP Team Base Tours are located at the SailGP Tech Site, on Westhafen, Sassnitz which is a short walk from the Race Stadium. The area will be signed with SailGP signage and directional staff will be available to assist. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled tour time.
Please make sure you wear closed heel and toe footwear, as you will be entering a work site so no thongs or similar shoes are permitted. Your ticket is only valid for the date and experience you purchased – if the scheduled tour time is missed, we cannot guarantee access to a different tour and refunds will not be granted.

Age Restrictions: We advise on the following with regards to the ages of people attending a Team Base Tour:
The Tech Site has a lot of loud noise from vehicles/ operations and the smell of chemicals may be disturbing for younger children so we would advise partner tours/ public tours against bringing children under 8 on the Tech Base Tours.
Parents need to be aware that children with certain conditions may be affected or triggered by the light, noise and activity in the Tech Base areas.
Please be mindful of using strollers and pushchairs within the site as there is equipment around.
Weather
The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather causing the cancellation of racing, refunds would be offered in line with the Refund Policy on our website.
As this is an outdoor event you are advised to dress appropriately for the weather. If the forecast is looking hot and sunny, remember to bring a hat, high SPF sun cream and drink plenty of water. NOTE: absolutely no single use disposable bottles are permitted, so bring a reusable water bottle and use our free refill water points to stay hydrated through the afternoon.
Parking
On The Day
Racing is scheduled between 15:30 - 17:00 (subject to change), with three races each day (weather dependent). Updates or changes to the schedule due to inclement weather will be communicated via our website.
Our F50s are exhilaratingly fast, and the race leader can change in the blink of an eye - we recommend staying in your seats during the racing so you don't miss any excitement out on the water! See the Food & Drink section for more information on our in-grandstand hawker service. NOTE: Grandstand seating is unreserved, so the best viewing spots are first come, first served. Please do not leave any belongings unattended, including using them to reserve seats whilst visiting other Race Stadium facilities.

Food and Beverage Vendors
There will be a selection of food & beverage available for purchase within the race stadium.
Please recycle all your leftover food packaging using the recycling bins positioned around the event site.
NOTE: Our vendors all strive to purchase their ingredients from sustainable and local sources as much as possible, so their actual menus and prices may be different on the day.
Litter and Recycling
Please bring your own reusable water bottle and make the most of our free drinking water refill stations. For your safety, if you are bringing a reusable water bottle into the Race Stadium, we may request a sniff and/or sip test to ensure there is no dangerous substance inside.
SailGP works to divert as much waste from landfill as possible, so absolutely no single use plastic bottles are permitted in the Race Stadium. These will be confiscated during our entry searches and recycled by our local waste management vendor.

Lost and Found Property
Children
Children are permitted into the Race Stadium.
All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under 5 years of age can access our Race Stadium free of charge. Please be aware that all under 5's must sit on the lap of an adult if sitting in our unreserved grandstand.
Whilst buggies are permitted inside the event site please be aware that there is no left luggage area or baby change facility.

Where is the Racecourse located?
The racecourse is situated in the waters immediately surrounding the event venue. Because SailGP relies on specific wind and water conditions, the exact layout of the course is confirmed each morning.
What is the Exclusion Zone?
The Exclusion Zone is a strictly managed area of water surrounding the racecourse designed to ensure the safety of both the athletes and spectators.
Access: Only vessels displaying an official SailGP BYOB Flag are permitted to enter this zone.
Restrictions: All other watercraft must remain outside this perimeter at all times while the zone is active.
Where is the Exclusion Zone, and how do I find it?
The Exclusion Zone moves in tandem with the racecourse. You can identify and locate it using two methods:
When is the Exclusion Zone active?
The zone is established daily shortly before racing begins and remains in effect until the final race of the day is completed. For real-time "Zone Open/Closed" status, please monitor the BYOB WhatsApp channel.
How do I enter the Exclusion Zone? Entry is strictly regulated to ensure a safe environment for all spectators. Please follow these procedures:

How do I get my BYOB Flag?
You will receive an email with the specific pickup location and time (usually the day before racing). To collect your flag, you must:

Can I anchor to watch the racing?
Yes, anchoring is permitted within your designated viewing area, provided that weather and sea conditions allow for it to be done safely.
Can I get close to the F50s?
No. Please maintain a safe distance from the F50s at all times. These vessels travel at high speeds and have limited manoeuvrability. Follow Course Marshal instructions and maintain awareness of race activity.
Can I fly my own drone / UAV?
Drones are strictly prohibited within or above the Exclusion Zone at any time during the event. This includes both on-water and on-land areas around the racecourse.
Is there a dedicated VHF Channel?
Yes. A dedicated VHF channel will be announced closer to the event. This channel will provide race updates, safety messages, and live commentary.
