Weather & what to bring
The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. Racing may be brought forward or delayed if conditions or weather forecasts are unsafe. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the event cannot be held, we will notify you via email at the same address linked to your Fever account. When in doubt, please remember to check your spam folder too.
In the event of inclement weather causing the cancellation of racing, refunds would be offered in line with the Refund Policy on our website.
SailGP is an outdoor event, so we recommend dressing for the elements to stay comfortable throughout the race day:
Please note: To ensure clear views for everyone, umbrellas are not allowed in the grandstands.
Dress Code
There is no official dress code for SailGP events, but we are an outdoor event, so we strongly recommend you prepare for the weather forecast. Bring a hat, high SPF sunscreen, and drink plenty of water if sunny weather is forecast. Pack a raincoat and warmer layers if rain is looking more likely.
NOTE: Large umbrellas are not permitted in the grandstands as this will disrupt the view for other fans.
Security & Prohibited Items
For your safety and the enjoyment of all guests, the following items are not permitted inside the event site: Glass, cans, single-use plastic (including disposable water bottles), BBQs, weapons, illegal substances, fireworks, flares, political materials, portable speakers and other potentially disruptive or dangerous items.
This is not an exhaustive list. Permitted items are at the discretion of our Security Manager and may vary based on local licensing conditions. All bags are subject to inspection. Any prohibited items will be confiscated and disposed of by event security and cannot be returned after the event. Please review our full list of prohibited items HERE.
Race Stadium ticket holders may bring small personal cameras and mobile devices for non-commercial use.
The following items are not permitted unless you have prior Filming Accreditation:
Security teams assess equipment at the gate based on appearance and capability, and final decisions rest with event staff. If you are unsure whether your equipment will be permitted, please do not bring it. All items remain subject to the Event Access Terms and Conditions.
Food and Beverage Vendors
Yes, there will be a selection of food & beverage available for purchase within the race stadium, with a focus on providing locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.
We ask that you please recycle all your leftover food packaging using the recycling bins positioned around the event site.
Please note: as our vendors all strive to purchase their ingredients from sustainable and local sources as much as possible, menus and associated pricing may be different on each race day.
No external food, drinks, or coolers can be brought into the Race Stadium.
Exceptions will only be made for medically necessary items or baby food after proper inspection.
Yes. Free drinking water refill stations are available inside the Race Stadium. Please bring a reusable water bottle and arrive with it empty so you can fill it once inside.
SailGP works to divert as much waste from landfill as possible, so absolutely no single-use plastic bottles are permitted in the Race Stadium. These will be confiscated during our entry searches and recycled by our local waste management vendor.
