When will I receive my ticket(s)? Tickets will be issued approximately ten days prior to the event date, and you will receive a contact email to let you know they are available. Please check your spam folder in case the update gets diverted from your inbox. If you haven't received your tickets within five days of the event, please contact ticketing@sailgp.com.
Do I need to print my ticket(s)? No, you can find your ticket(s) in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from Google Play or the Apple App Store). Please remember to log in with the same login/email method used to make the purchase. Your QR codes will appear in the Fever app ten days before the event takes place.
I can't find my ticket(s). What should I do? You can view your ticket(s) in the Fever app, within the "Tickets" section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us at ticketing@sailgp.com.

Are children allowed?

Yes, children are permitted into the Race Stadium - anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Ticket specifications:

  • Anyone aged 18 or over must have an Adult ticket.
  • Children aged 5–17 require a valid Child ticket.
  • Children under 5 can access the Race Stadium free of charge and do not require a ticket, but must sit on an adult's lap in the grandstand.

Please note that age restrictions may apply to specific on-water products, and these can vary by event.

Do you offer family ticket bundles?

Yes. Family bundles are available for two adults and two children only. This package offers a discounted rate compared to purchasing individual tickets.

Accessible tickets cannot be used in conjunction with a family bundle. Guests requiring accessibility accommodations should instead select one accessible ticket, one free companion ticket, and two child tickets, which will work out to a similar or lower price than the family bundle.

Can I bring a buggy or pram? Buggies and prams are permitted. However, due to limited space, particularly within the grandstand, and because there is no designated buggy parking area at the Venue, bringing a buggy or pram is not recommended. If you do bring one, please be mindful of other guests. Buggies and prams must not be left unattended or obstruct entrances, exits, or walkways, and SailGP reserves the right to remove buggies and prams that are left unattended or are an obstruction. SailGP shall be under no obligation to return any removed items and SailGP accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to buggies and prams at the Venue.
Georges Island In 2027, SailGP is moving away from Georges Island as a ticketed spectator area to focus on expanding our on-shore experience, with the aim of engaging more people across Halifax and providing fans with an even better event experience.
Restricted view seats Some seats are tagged as Potentially Restricted View. These seats may have partially obscured sightlines due to LED screens or supporting structures within the grandstand area. Final sightlines will be confirmed once the event infrastructure is in place. If any seats are identified as having a restricted view, they'll be clearly marked as Restricted View on the ticketing page ahead of the event.

BYOB

Bring Your Own Boat (BYOB) Bring Your Own Boat (BYOB) ticket sales are expected to launch in spring 2027. More details will be shared closer to the date.

Accessibility

What accessibility options are available?

At SailGP, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment for everyone. As part of this, we will endeavor to make our services, facilities, and event sites as accessible as possible to ensure no one feels excluded. If you'd like to see additional facilities at a SailGP event, or if you have any other personal requirements, please contact us.

Tickets for wheelchair accessible viewing and easy-access viewing are available for purchase as a separate item from general-access tickets, which will ensure access to a reserved viewing section. Companions attending with spectators with accessible requirements are welcome to join them in the viewing area. A companion ticket will be required at point of purchase.

Please note:

  • Only the wheelchair platform is step-free.
  • Accessible seating is positioned towards the front of the grandstand with minimal steps, but is not guaranteed to be step-free.
Are carers admitted free? Yes, one free ticket per accessibility booking. These are available to add to your basket during the purchase process when adding an Accessible ticket.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible? Yes, we are committed to providing an inclusive experience for all fans. The Race Stadium will feature dedicated accessible viewing areas and facilities; please ensure you select the "Accessible" or "Wheelchair User" ticket option when booking to confirm your spot in these sections. If you require a complimentary carer ticket, please add this during the checkout process. If you have specific questions regarding site ramps and local transport links, please contact us at ticketing@sailgp.com.
What general facilities are available? Race Stadium facilities are accessible to all, including catering and bar outlets, the fan store, and toilets. Unfortunately, no hearing loop will be available at this event.
Are assistance dogs allowed? Yes, registered assistance dogs only.
What is the ground like? All ground surfaces within the site are hard. Some areas within the Race Stadium may be uneven, and kerbs are present around the event space and parking areas. Ramped access will be provided where needed to support wheelchair access throughout the site, with Event Ambassadors available to assist where required.

Weather & what to bring

Will there be shaded areas? Grandstand seating is open to the elements and unshaded. For a covered view of the race, the VELA options include overhead shade.
Will this event take place rain or shine?

The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. Racing may be brought forward or delayed if conditions or weather forecasts are unsafe. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the event cannot be held, we will notify you via email at the same address linked to your Fever account. When in doubt, please remember to check your spam folder too.

In the event of inclement weather causing the cancellation of racing, refunds would be offered in line with the Refund Policy on our website.

What should I bring?

SailGP is an outdoor event, so we recommend dressing for the elements to stay comfortable throughout the race day:

  • Weather Prep: Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sunny spells, plus a light jacket or raincoat as conditions by the water can change quickly.
  • Footwear: Choose comfortable shoes suitable for walking on hard surfaces.
  • Hydration: Single-use plastic bottles are not permitted. Please bring a reusable water bottle to use at our refill stations.

Please note: To ensure clear views for everyone, umbrellas are not allowed in the grandstands.

Dress Code

What is the dress code?

There is no official dress code for SailGP events, but we are an outdoor event, so we strongly recommend you prepare for the weather forecast. Bring a hat, high SPF sunscreen, and drink plenty of water if sunny weather is forecast. Pack a raincoat and warmer layers if rain is looking more likely.

NOTE: Large umbrellas are not permitted in the grandstands as this will disrupt the view for other fans.

Security & Prohibited Items

Are there bag checks? Yes, all bags will be searched at the entry. For your safety, it is a condition of entry that all bags are subject to inspection by our security team before you can enter the event site. Carefully check the list of prohibited items (see Security section or Event Terms & Conditions) to ensure you don't accidentally bring a forbidden item on the day. Please do not leave bags or personal items unattended or anywhere they could cause concern for our security team, and all items are brought to the event at your own risk.
What items are prohibited?

For your safety and the enjoyment of all guests, the following items are not permitted inside the event site: Glass, cans, single-use plastic (including disposable water bottles), BBQs, weapons, illegal substances, fireworks, flares, political materials, portable speakers and other potentially disruptive or dangerous items.

This is not an exhaustive list. Permitted items are at the discretion of our Security Manager and may vary based on local licensing conditions. All bags are subject to inspection. Any prohibited items will be confiscated and disposed of by event security and cannot be returned after the event. Please review our full list of prohibited items HERE.

What is your bag policy? One small bag (max. 30 x 30 cm) + one clutch/purse per person.
Are animals allowed? Animals are not permitted within the event site aside from registered assistance dogs.
Can I bring a camera?

Race Stadium ticket holders may bring small personal cameras and mobile devices for non-commercial use.

The following items are not permitted unless you have prior Filming Accreditation:

  • Camera tripods or monopods
  • Telephoto lenses with a focal length greater than 200mm
  • Video cameras or handycams
  • Audio recording equipment

Security teams assess equipment at the gate based on appearance and capability, and final decisions rest with event staff. If you are unsure whether your equipment will be permitted, please do not bring it. All items remain subject to the Event Access Terms and Conditions.

Can I fly my own drone / UAV? No. There is a legally enforced Air Exclusion Zone in place during the event. Unauthorized drones are strictly prohibited on or in the vicinity of the event site and our on-water race course, as they are dangerous to SailGP helicopter and drone operations.

Food and Beverage Vendors

Are food and drink available on site?

Yes, there will be a selection of food & beverage available for purchase within the race stadium, with a focus on providing locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.

We ask that you please recycle all your leftover food packaging using the recycling bins positioned around the event site.

Please note: as our vendors all strive to purchase their ingredients from sustainable and local sources as much as possible, menus and associated pricing may be different on each race day.

Can I bring my own food/drinks?

No external food, drinks, or coolers can be brought into the Race Stadium.

Exceptions will only be made for medically necessary items or baby food after proper inspection.

Do you have water refill stations?

Yes. Free drinking water refill stations are available inside the Race Stadium. Please bring a reusable water bottle and arrive with it empty so you can fill it once inside.

SailGP works to divert as much waste from landfill as possible, so absolutely no single-use plastic bottles are permitted in the Race Stadium. These will be confiscated during our entry searches and recycled by our local waste management vendor.

Facilities

Are there toilet facilities on-site? Yes, including accessible toilet facilities.
Is there a Quiet Room available? We do not have dedicated quiet rooms at SailGP events. However, if you need a quieter space at any time, please speak to a member of our event staff, and we will do our best to help find a suitable area where you can take a moment away from the activity.
What first aid facilities are on-site? First aid stations will be situated in the Race Stadium. If you need assistance, please approach any member of our first aid team or any SailGP staff member to direct you to the closest location.
Is there a left luggage facility? There is no left luggage facility available within the Race Stadium. Please plan ahead and check the prohibited items list and permitted bag sizes before you leave your home. Prohibited items will be confiscated and disposed of by our security staff before you can enter the event site. Confiscated items cannot be returned at the end of your visit.
Can I smoke or vape in the stadium? No, the Race Stadium is a smoke and vape-free zone.

If you have lost an item during the event, please speak to a member of our Event Ambassadors who can assist you.
