What can I expect from the event?
Get ready to experience the fastest racing on water at the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix May 30–31, 2026. Join the action as the flying fleet of 12 F50s races through New York Harbor at lightning speed.

Will this event take place rain or shine?
Yes! SailGP is a rain-or-shine event. Racing will go ahead in most weather conditions.
In the unlikely event that severe weather causes racing to be cancelled, any applicable refunds will be offered in accordance with our Refund Policy.
This is an outdoor event, so please come prepared for the forecast. If it's looking hot and sunny, don't forget:
- A hat and high-SPF sunscreen
- A reusable water bottle. Single-use plastic bottles are not permitted
- Stay hydrated at our free water refill stations throughout the venue
Will there be shaded areas in the grandstand?
No, the grandstands are not shaded.
Is there a dress code?
There's no official dress code at SailGP, just come comfortable and ready for the weather! As this is an outdoor event, we recommend dressing appropriately for the forecast.
- If it's sunny, bring a hat and sunscreen.
- If there's a chance of rain, pack a light waterproof layer.
Please note:
- Umbrellas are not allowed in the grandstands as they block views for other fans.
- Grandstand seating is unreserved, so the best spots are first come, first served.
- For security and fairness, please don't leave belongings to reserve seats while you're away enjoying other areas of the Race Stadium. Unattended items may be removed.
What is in the Race Stadium?
Our Race Stadium has something for all fans to enjoy. Our Waterfront Premium Tickets includes general admission to the Race Stadium plus access to the premium waterfront area, where you'll enjoy elevated views of the racing along with inclusive food and beverages throughout the day.
What happens in the Race Stadium after racing?
After racing, it's time to get the party started! Enjoy the music, visit the fan shop, and soak up the atmosphere with a last drink at the bar to end your visit in style.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
Absolutely. Our on-site fan shop will be selling a wide range of official SailGP merchandise during Race Stadium open hours.
About tickets
When do tickets go on sale?
Waterfront Premium tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 1, 2025. Waterfront Grandstand tickets will be released at a later date. Stay tuned for updates.
When will I get my tickets?
We'll email them to you approximately 10 days before race weekend.

Do I need to print my ticket?
Nope! Just bring it on your phone, and we'll scan it at the gate. No need to print—let's keep it green.
What's your refund policy?
All tickets are non-refundable, except as outlined in the Refund Policy.
What is your re-entry policy?
Re-entry is allowed. If you need to step out, just show your wristband to security when you return. Please note that all guests will need to go through the same security screening again upon re-entry.
Can I make a group booking?

About access to the event
What is your search policy?
For your safety, it is a condition of entry that all bags are subject to inspection by our security team before you can enter the event site. Carefully check the list of prohibited items (see Security section or Event Terms & Conditions) to ensure you don't accidentally bring a forbidden item on the day. Please do not leave bags or personal items unattended or anywhere they could cause concern for our security team, and all items are brought to the event at your own risk.
How many bags can I bring?
One bag that does not exceed 30 x 30cm may be brought into the event site. In addition, guests may also carry in a small clutch bag or purse.
Are there any prohibited items?
Yes. You are not permitted to bring in glass, cans, single-use plastic (including disposable water bottles), BBQs, weapons, illegal substances, fireworks, flares, political items, speakers etc into the event site. This is not an exhaustive list, and any permissible items are at the discretion of our Security Manager based on our local licensing conditions. Forbidden items will be confiscated and disposed of by our security staff before you can enter the event site. Confiscated items cannot be returned at the end of your visit. Can I bring my dog?
Dogs, aside from registered service animals, are not permitted within the event site.
Can I bring a camera?
Yes. Race Stadium ticket holders can bring in cameras, however photography or filming for commercial purposes is not permitted. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time, so please check back before your visit for the latest information.
Can I fly my own drone / UAV?
No. There is a legally enforced Air Exclusion Zone in place during the event. Unauthorized drones are strictly prohibited on or in the vicinity of the event site and racecourse, as they are dangerous to SailGP helicopter and drone operations.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
There will be a selection of food & beverage available for purchase within the Race Stadium.
Please recycle all your leftover food packaging using the recycling bins positioned around the event site.
NOTE: Our vendors all strive to purchase their ingredients from sustainable and local sources as much as possible, so their actual menus and prices may be different on the day.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Unfortunately no external food, drinks or coolboxes can be brought into the Race Stadium, Exceptions will only be made for medically necessary items or baby food after proper inspection.
Can I bring a reusable water bottle?
Please bring your own reusable water bottle and make the most of our free drinking water refill stations. For your safety, if you are bringing a reusable water bottle into the Race Stadium, we may request a sniff and/or sip test.
SailGP works to divert as much waste from landfill as possible, so absolutely no single use plastic bottles are permitted in the Race Stadium. These will be confiscated during our entry searches and recycled by our local waste management vendor.
Are there restrooms on-site?
Restroom facilities, including accessible options, are available inside the Race Stadium.
What first aid facilities are onsite?
Our first aid team will be situated in the Race Stadium. Please ask one of them if you need assistance during your visit.
Is there a left luggage facility?
Unfortunately, there is no left luggage facility available within the Race Stadium. Please plan ahead and check the prohibited items list and permitted bag sizes before you leave your home. Prohibited items will be confiscated and disposed of by our security staff before you can enter the event site. Confiscated items cannot be returned at the end of your visit.
Can I smoke or vape in the stadium?
Our Race Stadium is strictly a non-smoking site (including marijuana, e-cigarettes and vapes).
Is there a Lost & Found?
General lost property will be taken to the information point just outside the Race Stadium entrance. Please ask one of our event ambassadors if you need any assistance.
Is there an age requirement?
Children are permitted into the Race Stadium.
All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Children aged 5–17 require a valid Child ticket.
- Anyone aged 18 or over must have an Adult ticket.
- Children under 5 can access the Race Stadium free of charge, but must sit on an adult's lap in the grandstand.
Are prams/buggies allowed?
Whilst strollers are permitted inside the event site please be aware that there is no left luggage area or baby change facility.

What are wheelchair tickets?
Wheelchair tickets provide access to a designated viewing platform with appropriate facilities. Each Wheelchair ticket includes the option to add one free companion ticket during checkout.
What are accessible tickets?
Accessible tickets are for guests who don't require a wheelchair space but would benefit from easier access seating located close to amenities. These seats will likely be positioned at the end of rows to make access simpler. Accessible tickets also allow you to add one free companion ticket during checkout. Please note: step-free access cannot be guaranteed.

What general facilities are accessible?
Race Stadium facilities are accessible to all, including catering and bar outlets, the fan shop and restrooms. Unfortunately, no hearing loop is available at this event.
Are service animals allowed?
Service animals are permitted, including in our unreserved grandstand seating. There is no specific dog spending area in the event site, however, our re-entry policy facilitates leaving and re-entering the Race Stadium (subject to bag searches upon re-entry).
What is the ground information?
All ground surfaces within the site are hard. Some curbs are situated around the event space and parking areas, but ramped access will be available to all areas. Viewing areas within the grandstands will be accessed via ramps, where our event ambassadors are available to provide assistance as necessary.
